WHICH RIBBON DO I NEED FOR MY LABEL PRINTER?
At Delfi Technologies, we sell ribbons from skilled suppliers, including
Citizen,
Zebra and
Honeywell. When choosing the right ribbon (also called ribbon or foil) for your
label printer, be aware that there are 3 types of ribbons, all of which affect the ribbon quality and the durability of what you print. Often there is more than one type of foil that can handle the task for you. Below we have listed the different types:
WAX RIBBON
Wax ribbons define which label material they can print on. Wax ribbons are suitable for printing matte paper labels.
WAX/RESIN RIBBON
Wax/resin ribbons define which label material they can print, where wax/resin ribbons are suitable for printing coated paper labels, matte plastic labels and synthetic labels.
RESIN RIBBON
Whereas resin ribbons define printing on label material made of plastic or gloss.
You should also be aware of what size you need depending on which label printer you have.
